A Conversation With AI Talent: The Best and the Brightest (Part 2)

Digital transformation remains a pressing topic for businesses of all types and sizes, and it requires business leaders to be aware of advancements in technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI), so they can get a head start on understanding how these developments will affect their organizations.

At Appier, we are lucky to know people who have a vision of the future with regards to how AI will affect business and society, and as promised, we are back with Part 2 of our video series of conversations with the best global AI talent. This time, our Chief AI Scientist Dr. Min Sun speaks to Dr. Greg Mori, Research Director of Borealis AI Vancouver lab and Professor at the School of Computing Science, Simon Fraser University.

In this video, they discuss the changes Dr. Mori has seen in his research in computer vision and machine learning since he started in the 1990s. He believes this technology is now in a golden age and is excited to see how it will have positive effects on environmental monitoring, healthcare, transportation and even entertainment, particularly professional sports.
